"I've received an order, and everything looks good. So I am placing another order. Having insect shield clothes makes me feel much more comfortable about going outside. Thank you for making these clothes available." Joan, Pennsylvania
“I’d like to duplicate another order. I never in my life could go out and sit on the patio and drink my coffee without the mosquitos biting me. First time in 45 years that I could sit out without the mosquitos biting me!” Sue, Missouri
"I've been careful to wear my BugBeWear socks and hat every time I worked in the yard this spring and had not picked up a single tick -- until yesterday. That was the first day I skipped my BugBeWear gear and, sure enough, I found a tick happily crawling up my leg. Lesson learned!" Elyse, Virginia
"Sat out in the eve in shirt & hat. No skeeters or black flies hassling me!" Eric, Vermont
"My husband wore the jeans and socks today while weed whacking in "tick city" - by the horse pasture and river. Usually, he is absolutely covered in ticks. Today - none." Marie, Virginia
"I am glad I found your website. You have all the basics for working/playing in the yard at reasonable prices. Ticks and Lyme are a very big problem." Joseph, Maryland
"Customer service was outstanding - quick shipping" Cindy, Massachusetts
Repellent clothing protects skin areas covered. Best protection results from socks, long sleeves and pants. Follow labeled care instructions.
Every BugBeWear garment is labeled two ways. The first is the Insect Shield® hang tag, which displays care instructions as well as EPA information. The second is a permanent label in the interior of the garment. The permanent inside label will help you identify your treated clothing.
Unfamiliar with Insect Shield® Repellent Clothing?
Insect Shield’s active ingredient, permethrin, is a synthetic version of a natural compound in chrysanthemum flowers, pyrethrum. Developed in 2002 to meet the needs of the US Army, this finish is now used on all Army troop uniforms.
